Cameron is BAD

I've noticed the detest this film has gotten in the reviews, & it is only justified in the event you were expecting an wonderful blockbuster. I came in expecting the film to be disappointing, & I came out... not disappointed!

I saw this with a packed theater & everybody was laughing throughout the whole film. Most decidedly not for babies, but it is a lot of comic moments & the acting was spectacular. Cameron Diaz played her part so well, JT was respectable, & the supporting cast were fantastic & surprisingly believable for how absurd their characters were!

Don't go in expecting a realistic, moving story that has laughs along the way. Don't expect a plot line that builds suspense & immerses you in to the story. This is a fun summer film that brings memories back of those absurd teachers you had in grade school. Yes, I saw potential for the film to go a more significant direction, but I still found the film hilarious as is.

I come in with an open mind! So you know what to anticipate, there is a significant (non-sexual) extended shot of breasts, some marijuana scenes, & the f bomb is dropped a few by the cast. In the event you can handle those things, I guarantee you'll come out surprisingly pleased.

Lightning McQueen is tuned

It mostly keeps the same lineup of characters & maintains the conceit of a world in which people don't exist & cars talk & have emotions. But in terms of story & atmosphere & overall feeling, "Cars 2" is a brand-new experience - and a distinct improvement.

Ryan Reynold as The Green Lantern

Simply. It was a lovely film. Critics were so wrong. I loved that every scene was entertaining & further volved the story in to the next part. I do think it is geared more towards actual fans of the comic. Being a fan, the story was simple to follow & thrilling to see the comic come to life. There were more actions sequences than Thor & better special effects than any film this year. Thor was an awesome film also but I think you cant compare the because they were both lovely for different reasons. The CGI & special effects were awesome. The trailers do not do the final renditions any justice, & I thought the last couple trailers looked great. The story was based solely off of the Secret Origin comic book. A couple things were adjusted but overall it gave the same effect of reading the comic.
I was happy to see Green Lantern Hal Jordan be Green Lantern & use constructs (weapons formed by anything the ring bearers mind can think of) times in the film to satisfy my need for action. The story did appeared a small rushed sometimes but nothing to make it a terrible film. Ryan Reynolds did a great job bringing Hal Jordan to life. So plenty of people detest on him & I think he pulled off the role greatly.
Peter Sarsgaard showed some amazing acting skills as Hector Hammond. Mark Strong was ideal for Sinestro. & Blake Lively wasnt bad as Carol Ferris either. Im not going to write a review telling you each scene in the film but I will say that right from the get go every scene is entertaining to watch.
I feel Hal Jordan (Reynolds) as a character is developed well in the sense of understanding where he comes from & why is he the way he is today. The villain Parallax is portrayed differently in the comic & I wasnt positive how I was time going to like seeing him a giant head & cloud in the film. But it didnt bother me after all & it worked. The art direction for the film was stunning. I enjoyed the way everything was portrayed. Everything from the space sequences, the aliens, the constructs, & the planet Oa.
If I could perhaps alter anything about the film it would be to show a quantity of the other Lanterns fight a bit more. the main Lanterns like Sinestro, Kilowog, & Tomar Re. But I do understand that in the Secret Origin Comic they do not battle as much since the story is all about Hal Jordan. In the event you are not a fan of the comic I still think the film would be entertaining to watch. In the event you go to watch Green Lantern then you understand it is a superhero, comic book film. Go to see some high flying action & let your imagination run free.

BAK CANG

Many traditional Chinese foods are intended to honor either the gods or divine persons in history. Bak Cang - a sticky rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves - is no exception. It is meant to honor Qu Yuan (340-278 BC.), the pioneer poet of ancient China.

Qu Yuan was a famous poet who was also concerned about the fate of his government. Regrettably his stature aroused the jealousy of the king, who banished him to a remote area. The poet despaired of the government & its policies. When the state's capital was captured by enemies, they committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River (on May 5th according to the Chinese lunar calendar). Local folk looked for him in the river, meanwhile dropping dumplings of sticky rice wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves in to the river in order to keep the fishes from attacking Qu Yuan's body.

Since that time, it is been customary on this day to enjoy Bak Cang dumplings as a memorial to the patriotic poet. As I left the supermarket,I noticed rwo childern, maybe six or seven years old, selling chocolate bars in front of the shop to raise money for their school band.
