Once Upon a Bedtime
It's important to read bedtimes stories to children - both for them and for you. The benefits for children are well known: readings opens up language centres in the brain in a way computer games and TV do not; it helps get children to settle; and it's important to have that one-on-one attention and close physical contact. But parents win, too, through the chnce to relax the mind and drift away with stories.
