Keeping Your PIN Personal

If your ATM card get stolen, the personal indentification number (PIN) is the only thing stopping your account being cleaned out. Still, many people are careless cause they tell their friends their PIN or write it on apiece of paper beside their card. Some even write it on the back of the card itself.
How do you keep your digits safe?
  • When you bank sends you a PIN, memorise it, then destroy the paper it is written on. Be careful some croocks search bins for financial information.
  • IF you must write down your PIN, spread it across several pieces of paper.
  • IF your bank lets you to choose a PIN, don't pick obvius combinations like birthday or you phone number.
  • Do your own banking. Don't give your PIN to friends or employees to access your account on your behalf.
