When you walk in to a jewelry store & see all the diamonds in all of the various settings that are on the market, it is difficult to recognize that diamonds are indeed rare. Most people don't even cease to think about how that diamond came to be sitting in that jeweler's case! There is a tiny small tiny little bit of work that is completed for a diamond is prepared to sell to the general public!
